A couple weeks ago we saw some of these:
while driving this:
through places like this:
with all of these people:
to camp here!:
Then drove passed these:
to get to here:
(the confluence of the Green and Colorado rivers--notice the left side is light and the right side is dark)
We went up places like this:
down places like this:
through skinny places like these:
and even skinnier places like this!:
We hiked way up here:
to catch views like this one:
We had meals in this cave:
so did our friend:
But my favorite was driving through this:
to get to here:
where we climbed up there:
to get to these:
and to see more of these:
-Driving down the freeway with the top off the jeep in the rain. And hail. And we left the top back at the rental store because there was a "zero percent" chance of rain.
-Dad Evans was in charge of timing how long our rice was cooking because he was the only one with a watch. The timer was never turned off and he ended up waking us up at 5:45 in the morning the next day thinking it was 8:00. Oops. We had some great morning hikes and adventures though.
-We were too tired to make it all the way home to Salt Lake Saturday night so we pulled over and slept on the side of the road. Doug and I slept in the car. The others slept outside under the stars and woke up wet (and freezing) from frost and dew.

That looks like soo much fun! I miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteThoes are some amazing shots you guys!
ReplyDeleteWow! Fun! I can name at least four of those places I wouldn't be caught dead in- one of them being the mouse cave!
ReplyDeleteOh--we are jealous--you guys have so much fun! Do you know anything about tinnitus? My dad has it really badly--I thought with your background you might have some ideas. He's really suffering. He sees a chiropractor and an acupuncturist right now and they have helped--but if you have any knowledge about anything that can help, let me know.
