Southern California

In July we drove down to Southern California for Matt and Kate Lynn's wedding.    We got to stay with my best friend Stacey and her family.  It was hard to pick which pictures to use because we have so many that I love.

The first thing we did when we got there was go to Carlsbad beach with Matt and Kate Lynn then had a BBQ with his family.  This was Warren's first ocean experience.

The next day we went to breakfast with Stacey and her two girls in Huntington then went to the beach.

Warren played in the sand almost the whole time and was in heaven.  I loved his curly beach hair.

Doug spent most of the day body surfing.  And got the worst sunburn of his life.

Not the best picture of us, but I was so excited because this was the first time since Warren was a newborn that he fell asleep outside his bed or car seat.  It was a big deal to me!

The next day we did wedding stuff in the afternoon and on our way back we stopped at Woods Cove Beach in Laguna to watch the sunset.  It was gorgeous and was probably my favorite part of the whole trip.

We left the next day and spent the night at Doug's grandparents' house

This picture cracks me up! Warren must have just woken up. He sat out on the porch with grandpa watching the humming birds and swating at flies.  I remember he was so proud to be up in his own big boy chair like grandpa's.

He actually loved the tire swing even though you can't tell by his face.
